Treasure Map Maker was created as part of Puffin Books' We Make Stories, a website dedicated to encouraging children to create their own stories through interactive games.
A player begins by choosing a level. They then place character icons on the map, and following prompts write a short piece of copy for each. Placing the X finishes the story, which is then available to view as both a video and printable PDF.
The complex stories and outcomes meant success of the project relied on close collaboration with a team of copywriters and developers.
